The company and opportunity:
Our client is a specialist investment firm, they capitalise on growth in debt portfolio sales in the UK and International markets. They source and acquire portfolios at attractive forecast returns and drive further collection performance post-purchase, delivering strong investor results. They have invested over £125 million in its first 3 years of operations.
The Role:
CFO – Based in London or Madrid, with frequent travel within Europe
The requirements:
The role requires a fully qualified accountant to manage:
- Strong financial governance, with a focus on developing and implementing scalable processes;
- Management of finance function up to 10 individuals and multiple external suppliers (administrators, banks, external payroll providers, tax advisors);
- Ensuring the tax efficiency of a multi-jurisdiction group of companies, including tax compliance;
- Proactive treasury management, including processes to optimize cash management across multiple currencies and vehicles in different jurisdictions, with a focus on funding transactions in an agile and timely manner;
- Optimise capital structure, with focus on raising local, asset-backed debt financing, including ability to determine optimum structures, negotiate with funding parties and execute complex financing structures;
- Reporting to a diverse investor base, including managing debt providers and reporting on a significant number of financial covenants;
- Overall responsibility for legal, governance and compliance functions, with legal counsel and compliance offers reporting into CFO;
- Participate in overall management of the business;
- Experience working in the UK or US essential, financial services is an advantage
Ideal Candidate:
- Must have experience in Debt Capital Markets
- Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
- Good interpersonal skills with "can do" attitude
- Excellent written & oral communication skills
- High attention to detail, organised, able to manage own time and workload
