Nominated Adviser (NOMAD) Job Description

We generally look for Nominated Advisers (NOMADS) on behalf of our clients due to expansion within the business or as a replacement. We also recruit for Main List Sponsors, Associate Directors, Associates and Analysts for most of the Nominated Advisors in the market.

While being currently qualified is highly desirable, there is also a market within the Nominated Advisories for ex QE’s who could regain their status within a year, along with Pre- IPO houses.

Nominated Advisor Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for sponsoring admission of a new Company to AIM providing a comfort letter to AIM upon admission;

• The main point of contact for Directors and management at the Company with regard to AIM and capital markets advice on an ongoing basis; and

• Taking responsibilities to AIM for the Company on an ongoing basis.

• Sourcing deals and retained clients.

Nominated Advisor Skills & Requirements

• Associate Director or Director Level

• Commercial Ability

• Origination of deals

• Amending to AIM rules

• Proven ability of working under pressure

• Strong financial skills

• Being a Qualified Executive, or have recent deals that will indicate QE status will be granted

Remuneration

Basic Salaries for a Nominated Advisors vary depending on experience and company size:

• An Associate Director basic can range from £80,000 to £95,000

• A Director and Qualified Nomad can range from £95,000 to £120,000

• A Head of Corporate Finance can range from £120,000 to £250,000

• Bonuses are usually discretionary

Career Progression

Most Nomads would look to complete at least one AIM floatation a year, while administering to 10 clients. More senior Nomads will also sit on the board of clients (NED) and choose to go along a management path (Head of Corporate Finance etc).
