- Description
Reporting to the Head of Real Estate UK, Europe and Asia, this individual will work with both internal and external teams to develop, implement and monitor strategic development plans targeted at maximising asset performance.
Primary responsibilities will be to optimise the development potential of the existing portfolio of properties in the group and to assist in the appraisal of investment into new properties. To manage the design, planning, procurement and construction processes to add value to the portfolio, with a focus on the directly held real estate portfolio located in London and Paris.
- Set strategic development plans for assets, where major capital expenditure is required.
- Assist in the formulation of initial design concepts and project planning
- Manage design teams and external managers to deliver full development life-cycle objectives, from feasibility stage through to practical completion
- In conjunction with the origination and investment teams ensure that relevant adjacent land holdings are assessed
- Evaluate and initiate / manage to completion major capital improvements that will enhance the value of assets
- Build and maintain relationships with external service providers
- High Level (Board) presentations on the Business Plans and explanation of deviations from the plans
- Assist in the purchasing and sales of assets in conjunction with the origination and investment team
Education & Experience Required
- Ideally +5years of commercial real estate experience, gained with a property company or fund management business
- Experience of city centre property development, preferably mixed use projects
- Detailed knowledge and experience of the planning and construction process
- An interest in good design, sustainability and green issues with a genuine desire to make a difference to the urban environment
- Strong intellect able to manage complex situations
- Degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance or Accounting is preferred (Ideally RICS Accredited)
- The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial real estate, both office and retail and ideally have multi-jurisdictional exposure.

- Good interpersonal and communication skills with an approachable style, result-orientated and highly motivated to succeed.
