- Description
- We currently have a position for a dual role Vendor Clerk/Credit Controller to join our busy Customer Accounts team in our Knightsbridge office.
Your main responsibilities will be in Vendor Accounts initially, they will include but not be limited to the following:-
Generating vendor statements, payment runs and bank transfers for the UK, Europe, Hong Kong and Australia.
Obtaining signatures for payments
Dealing with client queries and tracing bank transfers promptly via email and telephone.
Uploading bank transfers to RBS and HSBC online
Ensure that all 3rd party payments and Anti Money Laws are adhered to
Raising extra charges and inputting client payment details
Processing allowance claims and making sale adjustments
Chasing outstanding vendor debts
Other ad-hoc duties for the UK and overseas offices as required.
After a period of time you would be trained in Credit Control, here the duties include, and again are not limited to:-
Pre-sale vetting/authorising bids for clients wishing to register to buy.
Collecting debts for purchases made at auction and dealing with buyer/vendor queries by phone, post or email
Liaising with Expert and other Service Departments both pre-sale and post-sale ensuring departments are kept up to date with the status of buyers in their sales.
Handling customer monthly statements
Ensuring group Credit and payment policy is adhered to and resolving third party payment issues and VAT queries raised by Departments and Buyers.
Record and enter incoming payments through the banking system as needed
You will be responsible for covering other members of the team when they are out of the office and for assisting occasionally with off-site, evening or weekend sales.
Required Skills
You must have excellent organisational, numeric and client service skills and the ability to articulate with excellent oral and written communication skills. You will need to work well with a team and build good relationships with clients and colleagues. You must be computer literate, work well under pressure meeting set targets and working to deadlines. You must be comfortable working in an international environment and dealing with high profile clients
