We are looking for a highly competent, honest, and reliable Management Accountant to assist senior management in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data. You will oversee accounting procedures and prepare forecasts, budgets, and risk analysis.
The Role
An excellent management accountant must have an exceptional analytical mind with an aptitude for mathematics combined with a strong business orientation. You must be able to assume responsibility of cost accounting tasks and be both a strategist and a decision maker. The goal is to contribute to the decision-making process of management that will ensure business growth and long-term success.
Acting as an integral member of the team, taking ownership of key tasks but also can be flexible and take on various ad hoc requests.
- Prepare weekly management account reports
- Gather and analyse financial information for internal use
- Evaluate the company’s performance using key data
- Prepare forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making
- Conduct risk assessment and advise on ways to minimize risk
- P&L, Balance Sheet, KPI, variance analysis
- Preparation and analysis of overhead management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
- Proven experience as management accountant, accounting supervisor or similar role
- Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge or risk analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Advanced Excel and Numeric skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A problem-solver with attention to detail
- Technical competence
- Organizational and leadership skills
- B.Sc./BA in accounting, finance, or similar field
- Fully qualified accountant (Ideally ACA/CIMA/CA)
- Knowledge in Xero or other accounting software such as Tableau is desirable
