We are working with a leading global Top 10 Real Estate private equity fund to hire an Associate for their newly established European Investor Relations team in London.
Until now, the firm's European fund raising had been managed by external placement agents and the Investor Relations team in their U.S. head office. As a result of expansion, they are establishing a small 3-4 person Investor Relations team in London.
Reporting directly to their Head of European Capital Raising & Investor Relations the Associate will assist with investor relations and fund raising efforts for the firm's European funds which currently including a Value Add fund, a Core fund and a Real Estate Debt fund.
This will be a mainly internal facing role initially but will develop into an external fund raising role, where you will have responsibility for managing your own investor relationships.
The Associate will be expected to provide project management and administrative support to the team and act as the first line of interaction between investors and investor relations questions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for logging all inbound investor questions and ensuring response to investors are within specified timelines
- Coordinate internally and follow-up to ensure IR requests are completed in timely manner
- Working closely with external and internal stakeholders (investors, IR in the U.S., investment teams, legal, compliance)
- Responsible for tracking investor lists, including all contacts related to each investor groups, mailing lists within Salesforce and coordinating updates with various external fund administrators
- Maintain and update investor contact information and distribution lists
- Effectively distribute all reporting documents including drawdown notices, distribution notices, quarterly reporting and tax reporting
- Maintain global finance reporting calendar as it corresponds to investor deliverables
Required experience:
- 2 to 6 years of Real Estate industry experience
- Previously Real Estate investor relations experience welcomed but not required
- Proven ability to track multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Experience of dealing with investors / private equity funds is helpful
- Enthusiastic and energetic approach to working and comfortable working in a small team with a flat structure.
