- Description
Our client is one of the leading real estate asset managers with a strong focus in the consumer & retail property sector. They have had explosive growth in the last few years and our now looking for a Senior Analyst / Associate to join their debt team.
The role:
- Supporting the Head of Debt in the management of the NPL portfolio including assistance in the following areas:
- Liaising with investors and external loan servicers to ensure compliance with servicing requirements.
- Liaising with Borrowers to determine their reporting needs to meet loan requirements.
- Restructuring of the loans, grants of waivers, debt for equity swaps, etc
- Overseeing capex spends and lease consent requests against the agreed business plan
- Checking appropriate insurance is in place to provide lender protection
- Enforcement processes and onboarding of assets to AM team
- Liaising with the Asset Management team to update underwrites in order to provide monthly reporting to Attestor on workout progress.
- Appointments of receivers, lawyers, sales agents, etc
- Coordinating asset sales processes
- Once the new NPL portfolio is fully on boarded and stabilised:
- Assisting with seeking debt to support development projects
- Coordinating and undertaking lender strategic reports
- Analysing and underwriting both new NPL and direct investment proposals
Candidate Requirements:
- 3-5 years Real Estate Banking experience within an Investment Bank, Asset Manager, Investment Manager, REIT or Big 4 (transaction services, Lead advisory)
- Strong cashflow modelling skills.
- Real Estate debt knowledge, including experience of working with REF facility agreements and related reporting.
- Capital structuring experience in particular debt modelling skills. An understanding of equity structures is desirable but not essential.
- Good stakeholder management skills, in particular with borrowers in stressed situations and investors.
- A proactive attitude - willing to learn, grow in the business, intelligent, hard worker, adaptable and dynamic
- Capability to deliver detailed analysis and reporting with accuracy and efficiency
