Description

We are working with one of Europe's leading real estate private equity funds to hire an Associate for their European Acquisitions team in London.

The Associate will work closely with both internal and external teams, focusing primarily on the evaluation, structuring and execution of potential pan-European real estate acquisitions.

Although this is a pan-European role, the firm does not currently have Spanish language skills in their team and is keen to hire an individual that has fluent / native Spanish language skills.

The firm has a broad opportunistic investment strategy including corporate investments, direct assets and portfolios, joint venture opportunities with developers, retailers and other investors and opportunities to acquire REIT entities in various European geographies.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Working across European markets (focus towards Iberia) with respective local teams to underwrite new investment opportunities.
  • Provide financial analyses to support investment decisions and optimize execution of existing strategies.
  • Conduct market research to analyse both new investment markets as well as evaluate new opportunities within current markets.
  • Support financial analysis and underwriting of investment opportunities across multiple geographies & strategies, from single asset acquisitions to corporate level buy outs
  • Assisting local teams with strategy development, capitalization of new opportunities, preparing and presenting strategy memos, new acquisition evaluation and performance.
  • Optimization of existing portfolios and ventures, performing due diligence, and partnership negotiation.
  • Proactively develop industry relationships to assist with sourcing and analysing opportunities.
  • Modelling complex cash flows and partnership structures to determine risk and return
  • Managing the many facets of bringing a deal to funding, including presentation to final investment committee
  • Working with analysts from the team to help develop and maintain detailed financial models for use in evaluating potential investments
  • Assistance with asset management including business plan development and exit strategy planning and execution


Experience Required

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience from within real estate investment banking or real estate private equity
  • Strong quantitative background within significant experience with complex financial modelling.
  • Ideally have a background in commercial real estate within the European market with some specific experience in Spain
  • Broad sector knowledge and experience
