We are working with a global Real Estate private equity fund to hire a Senior-level Associate to focus on the management of the firm's Opportunistic portfolio in Spain.
Reporting into London, the Asset manager will work with both internal and external teams to develop, implement and monitor strategic plans targeted at maximizing portfolio performance.
Based in either UK or Spain, primary responsibilities will include developing and executing on strategic plans for the fund's Spanish commercial real estate portfolio:
- Responsible forsetting strategic plans for the assets
- Evaluate capital improvements that will enhance the value of the portfolio
- Execute on identified initiatives to maximize operating performance and investor returns
- Working with the broader team, develop a framework with outside brokers around leasing strategies including evaluating individual tenant spaces in projects and negotiating lease transactions
- Work with property managers to develop, review, revise and approve property budgets and capital plans.
- Monitor and ensure property level debt compliance and determine if leverage level is appropriate
- Build and maintain relationships in commercial leasing broker community
- Contribute to the team's effort by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
Education & Experience Required
- 4-8+ years of commercial real estate experience, preferably in asset management
- The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial real estate within the European market with specific experience in Spain
- Broad sector knowledge and experience
Skills Required
- Strong analytical skills
- Fluent Spanish language skills
- Knowledgeable in the economic and demographic conditions in each market and market trends
- Ability to build stakeholder relationships and communicate with banks and investors
- Team oriented, approachable and strong networking and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and to make recommendations to senior management
