Description

Our client is one of the UK's most prominent private equity-backed residential developers, currently delivering one of the most exciting urban regeneration projects in the country. They are seeking a talented Manager to join their Finance team, playing a central role in debt financing, valuations, and financial planning.

The Role:

This is a broad and high-impact position sitting at the heart of the business. You will lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of new debt financings whilst managing valuation workstreams, covenant compliance, and liquidity planning. You will work closely with lenders, valuers, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders to ensure financing solutions are aligned with the company's strategic objectives, and will contribute directly to board-level reporting and major business decisions.

This role offers exceptional breadth of exposure across one of the UK's most ambitious development programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead debt procurement processes end-to-end, including lender selection, NDAs, pitching, structuring, and negotiation
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of proposed loan terms and prepare recommendations for preferred financing partners
  • Support asset valuations for both secured lending purposes and year-end audit, including ongoing LTV covenant projections and sensitivity analysis
  • Manage covenant compliance across existing facilities, providing regular reporting and ensuring early identification of potential breaches
  • Contribute to facility documentation and due diligence processes alongside internal and external legal counsel
  • Provide ongoing input into group liquidity analysis, maintaining forward-looking visibility on funding needs
  • Support asset sales and acquisitions, including appraisals, strategic review, and transaction execution
  • Prepare high-quality board papers and presentations communicating business performance and the rationale behind proposed transactions

Requirements:

  • Strong financial modelling skills with the ability to build models from scratch across development financings, DCF, Term/Reversion valuations, and development appraisals
  • Experience in real estate finance, either from a surveying firm, investment or retail bank, or a property development/investment company
  • Transaction and valuation experience within the real estate sector is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage confidently at all levels
  • Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills
  • Degree qualified
  • A genuine interest in the build-to-rent and wider residential development sector
