Corporate Broker Job Description

We generally look for Broker’s on behalf of our clients due to the need for coverage in a new sector, or to replace a leaving Broker.

Experience working in one of our specialist fields would be highly beneficial;

Real Estate / Property / Construction / Retail / FIG / Mining / Telecoms / Media / Technology / Support Services/ Oil & Gas / Pharmaceuticals/ Renewables/ Cleantech

Working within Corporate Broking revolves around developing unparalleled knowledge of the sector covered, while bridging the transactional and advisory services of the Corporate Finance department and the placing power of Institutional Sales and Sales Trading teams to an institutional client base.

Corporate Broker Key Responsibilities

• Providing ongoing advice to corporate clients on market conditions and investors’ views,  brokers deal with all aspects of investor relations including roadshows to existing and potential shareholders..

• Serving a wide range of clients with broking, fund raising and corporate finance.

• Providing Bespoke Investor Relations plans to clients

• Provide market intelligence and advice

• Develop  access the Wealth Management community

Corporate Broker Skills & Requirements

• Excellent Financial knowledge

• Candidates will display an outstanding academic record

• Dynamic, smart with a high degree of professionalism, with a confident assertive style and a determination to deliver

• In depth knowledge and interest into the particular sector

• The ability to build relationships

Remuneration

Salaries for a Corporate Broker vary depending on experience and company size:

• A basic salary can range from £70,000 to £130,000

• Discretionary and Commission linked bonuses

Corporate Brokers often find that they can move pretty freely between Broking, Corporate Finance, Equity Sales and Investor Relations. The skill set in broking is unique in that it encompasses many front office roles.
