Corporate Finance Analyst Job Description (Capital Markets)
Circle Square is a leading recruiter in the Corporate Finance space and has an in-depth knowledge within the industry. We constantly require highly numerical and academic Corporate Finance Analysts with experience from Investment Banks, Brokers, Lawyers and Professional Services firms.

Corporate Finance Analyst Key Responsibilites

The full range of responsibilities to Corporate Finance at Analyst level;

Assisting in execution of deals
-
Assisting in the preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materials;

Gathering public information through numerous sources;
-
Creating financial model analyses;
-
Generating models for valuation metrics;
-
Drafting marketing documents such as Confidential Information Memorandums for financing and/or sell-side assignments;

Building company forecast models;
-
Analysing company performance on an absolute and relative basis;

Producing and maintaining various databases;
-
Developing a knowledge of AIM and LSE listing rules
Corporate Finance Analyst Skills & Requirements

You must have 1-3 years experience from an Investment Bank/ Broker/ top boutique or Big 4 ACA (Lead Advisory)

A good knowledge of Capital Markets and M&A and the ability to apply your skills creatively to diverse client needs;

Sound judgment, particularly in valuation matters, with strong analytic skills; particularly DCF`s and LBO`s and the ability to talk through previous deals comprehensively when quizzed.
Remuneration
Salaries for an M&A Analyst vary depending on experience and bank tier:

An Analyst in a Bulge Bracket bank should expect a base salary between £45,000 to £57,000 with a 50-100% bonus.

An Analyst in a top boutique or broker should expect a base salary between £45,000 to £55,000 with a 50-100% bonus.
Career Progression
Most Analysts would look to take the natural step to Associate with 3 years solid experience behind them. Alternatively Private Equity positions would be good options further down the line.
